Wow, look at him go. The program that is paying for our equipment is MRDD. This is Mentally Retarded and/or Developmentally Delayed. K&C qualify because they are Developmentally Delayed like most micro preemies. The chair is a Rifton seating chair. http://www.rifton.com/products/sitting/seatingsystem/R611.html. It comes with a tray and adjustable back. It also comes with lots of wedges and things to insure they are strapped in securely. Carver tends to wiggle the entire time he is in his chair. It's hard for him to focus on eating when he spends so much energy moving around. I'll post of picture of them sitting in the new chairs once we get them. Hopefully we'll have them within a couple of weeks.
I also belong to a yahoo micro preemie support group that is great. If you are interested, let me know. I'll get you the website. I send emails all of the time asking questions to other mothers. I get faster answers this way vs waiting on doctors to answer me. Also, these are experienced micro preemie moms that have lived the micro preemie experience.
